A large simplification initiative was undertaken, to strip out the clutter of messages in the stores. Removing multiple acrylic poster frames and stands, replaced with much more durable magnetic laminate, allowing for a greater longevity to messaging and a more cohesive customer journey.

I initiated a reverse brief to the Sales teams. Having been told what they didn’t like, the intention was to put the responsibility of the messages and key segments needed back on sales, whilst the Studio could focus on more dynamic creative execution. I briefed designers, created moodboards and managed comms between Account Management and ‘client’ in Sales.

Utilising the content panels and their structural look, the idea was to create a snapshot of a variety of the customer base or “travellers”. Targeting gender, age, ethnicity and purpose. The result was widely praised, very well received and remains one of the stand out projects for the Vodafone Retail Marketing Dept.

With a soft launch already actioned and a sub standard asset supplied from client, Idea Shed tasked me with sourcing and refining a more suitable asset range. With no product available, shooting was out, leaving 3D rendering. I re-engineered the brief to client as to what was required. The results were… less than desirable.

I outsourced the render, completed the post-edits myself, whilst coming in under budget and the range was rolled out across the campaign and became the clients favoured product imagery across their respective launch platforms.
